If you need paint or body work, ask Dan Cragin for a referral to his bodyman, Ole.

Does great work getting everything lined up on reassembly. Lots of Viper rehab experience.

I have hood assembly pieces. some of which need to be straightened. It can be done. I have side markers, All hood vent pieces as well. Coolant reservoir is around $40-$120 bucks.. However if you search for a 83-91 dodge ram50 coolant reservoir.. you will find that they are the same part, and its 19 bucks! Coolant hoses are discontinued but you can find them on Viper Parts of America and ebay and summit. They aren't Cheap.

Have you taken a close look at the frame? I felt some buckling on the right front frame rail. I would have the frame checked before you start buying parts. I asked about the engine since I think it was totaled in 2007 and the seller was very vague about the motor and didn't have the key when I looked at it, another thing to check out before you start investing in all those parts.

You will have to cut out the center vent in the hood and reglass it in there. Seems the previous owner glassed all of the hood vents into place.
If you can't find AC lines let me know. I believe I still have a set however shipping on them would be expensive due to their size and shape.

That hood does not look correct.. My center vent most likely wont work.. The under side looks correct but the Top side pics look like an aftermarket hood plus its a different shade of yellow. Also your gonna need the frame crossmember support that mounts to the frame infront of the motor. The Power steering cooler mounts to it. Private message my your number or email and I will text you photos.

Your 100% correct. Doesn't look like much but I am willing to bet that your looking at at least $5k-7K. I was lucky, frame was ok. My rebuild cost me $13K.

It has a marginal repaint so hopefully you can get your buddy to paint it for a reasonable price? Everything fixed correctly (including frame), good re-paint and a strong motor you'll have a $25K plus viper. Figure out all costs before you start the restoration. Not trying to be critical, just trying to help. I couldn't make the math work, maybe with your friends help you can.

Quick update. I Got to the point where it was time to start the viper and suprise suprise no compression in any of the cyclinders. Removed both heads to find all of the exhaust valves bent along with 10 of the 20 pushrods bent aswell :-(.

Sorry to hear this, but doesn't surprise me, that seller tried to BS me on the title and other items. surprised you didn't start it before you bought it? You can find a good used engine for a reasonable price, but you need to think real hard about how much you want to put into this viper?

The bottom end appears to be fine I think a simple rebuild of the heads and a set of new pushrods and shell be food as new. Im already in it too much to give up now :-/

Good Luck. What a pile of crap, unless you recieved it free. The title of this thread should be your parting it out. It would have been cheaper in the long run to by a driveable viper. Enjoy
