anyone need a 97 GTS engine?

It has been in the classifieds for quite awhile and I would like to get it out of my garage. It is a long block with approx 18k miles, ex condition, Greg Good stage II heads, (otherwise stock), intake, water pump, oil filter mount, and clutch assy. Asking $4,500

It has never been dyno'ed in it's current configuration. When it was in the car it had a Roe 8lb, Arrow 1.7 roller rockers and with a very conservative tune made 584 rwhp, 614 tq. I'm not sure what makes the heads stage II, I would have to contact Greg. They were on the engine when I bought the car.

Damn that's a nice price. If I had a Gen II, I'd buy it just to slowly build up into a completely forged motor as the time and money allowed. Good luck with the sale!

A '97 IS an all forged engine.

You will pay alnost $4500 just for the heads. The shortblock is "free"..

This is a great deal. If I didn't have 2 spare engines already, I would buy this in a second....
