Anyone with black rims on a black vert?

Looking at a new set of rims for my black 05 and thinking about going with the HRE Comp 21's in black with crome lip. What do ya think?

Wow thats a big wheel. Anyway I would also like to see a pic of those on a GenIII Black Viper. I am thinking about going with the Forgeline Gunmetal Black but have only seen them on a GenII Black GTS, and damn do they look good

Black centers, polished lips look very good on a black vert.

I would not consider 21's however and am not fond of 20's either. From a performance standpoint, neither works very well.

GENII GTS, This is JayW1's Ride. The best looking wheeel IMHO, I will be getting these for my GenIII for sure. I have not seen these on a GenIII and am hoping to be the first.

Yes....comp 21 series and damn does that look nice!! I will order mine today. Already picked up the tires so I am going to stay stock with the 18/19 setup. Should look mean once I lower the car.

I just purchased a set of HRE 830R'S gloss black with chrome lip from Jon-B at Parts Rack. Went with the 19/20 setup for Black/Silver Coupe, also I will be tinting taillights.

I just think the wheels are too small, or look to be that way, what size are they, 17's? Either way I agree with Juli, can never have too much Black on the Viper

I think it would look great to tint both the taillights and headlamps, I will most likely be doing this in the future.

One thing to remember...tinted HEADlamps DO restrict night vision...I originally thought it did NOT until we tested the lights with and without the tint...it certainly does. Looks GREAT during the day...and that's when we do most of our driving...night driving is rare, so we've kept them on. We probably would not do the taillights...just would love to see someone's Viper have them~~ ~juli

I'm not sure which I like more, yet. The polished lip adds some bling, while the painted lip looks more menacing (less street and more track).

Well, you could even just get 'smoky' headlamps...our headlamps are PRETTY bright (high-intensity discharge headlamps--HID) without the tint (we've had people pull over and just let us pass them)...but this thread was about the black rims...sorry to divert attention away! LOVE black rims on a black car...and can't wait to see what Scott does to his new '08! ~juli
