I'm not looking to hurt sales, but I'm confused. Your product is a "perfect" fix, however, for a few dollars LESS, another Viper vendor sells what amounts to a complete new finished billet shifter knob that mounts at the same "lowered" height.

I agree with all of you. Our product allows you to use the factory leather covered shifter knob which some people prefer. The product is labor intensive to make and our labor rates here in CT are $75.00 and over, therefore it is hard to make cheaply. How long did it take you to make yours for your dad? My pants are in the dryer.

WOW!!!!!!! I think yer gonna have problems sellin' that when you can take 2 bolts and weld together in about 10 minutes and have the same thing........and 50 bucks to install???????

what happened to EARNING a living?

I've often wondered why people buy things that have to be pretty and are NEVER SEEN????

Send me the dry cleaning bill.

"Takes 2 hours max." within the first 30 seconds of reading my post you get this estimate, so I'm not sure why you are asking. But if a IT guy can take 2 hours to do a more involved process (mine actually includes installation), im sure some machinist can do a less involved process in a 1/4 of the time. Hmmm... That almost seems like a challenge to me. And I might take you up on it. Do we want me to do another DIY project and see what all is needed? And how much it costs the average guy to build your same bolt? And if I beat your $75 Cost, will you pay me for mine?

I bought Rich's version a few months back and love it. 3/4" shorter than stock seems perfect to me.

I welded 2 bolts together and had it in my car in less than a half hour. I suppose I could've ground the weld smooth and spent another 5 minutes,,,, nut nobody would see it anyway...saved 5 minutes on the install. I could make these all day long for 20 bucks and grind the weld smooth and STILL make a killing. :D

Fyi, The "bolts" that were welded together came in my car....when the weld broke at the V10 race in Ohio it cost me ... $500 I believe. I replaced it with one from SVS. Moral of the story...don't grind down the weld to look like a bolt again ;)

Heck, I would have taken you out too. It was an easy $500, besides, the money came in handy on the drive back :2tu: The Bunny club rules! :headbang: :headbang:

Has anyone figured out an easy way to make the lower boot seal to bolt when you remove the stock isolator? I was thinking about adding a rubber bushing or something to help keep the heat out.

What happened to my post? I was the first person to reply to this thread and now my post is gone! All I said was "Wow! $100 for $5 worth of hardware". Was that against the rules of this board? Moderators please explain.

I don't know I think it might be worth the extra $80 over Rich's shifter as it is:

EMISSION LEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES

Another overpriced ripped off product from AtRo. What next, the AtRo Racing Supercharger. Looks just like the Roe Charger but it costs $54,000 or $69,000 installed. :2tu:

This Post is great... After installing my MGW knob I really did not like the height and did not have the ability to make a lowered bolt and now I can buy on for $18-25, this is great

This is a great business lesson for all. I am the first to admit that I'm not a good businessman. I give people too much credit. I expect them to be skeptical. I think that they are smarter than they probably are.

While most of us slave away at our jobs (and they may very well be high paying jobs,) there are people out there that sell items like the Shiwala (I even bought one,) or the thing that turns the light on when you clap, or some ridiculous cheaply made home exercise contraption, or a new diet (East Beach, Adkins, Weight Watchers,) an herbal erectile dysfuction product, or the "Buy 50 houses with no money down with my system" product. The examples go on and on.

Guess what? People buy this type of crap all the time!!!!! So while we are being critical about another overpriced product that is merely re-inventing the wheel, chances are that there are enough idiots out purchasing it for the seller to turn a profit!!!!

I, however will not be ordering the Atro bolt.

Not I. Look at his links to products. He resells or reinvents just about everything. I do not see anything new or worthwhile. Clearly in the Vegematic category.
