As has recently been discussed elsewhere on the forums, the VCA encourages support of earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. Besides our link on the home page, we chatted with our friends in Detroit and came up with a couple GREAT items that we would like to offer to help make additional donations to relief funds. We are posting this fantastic Dodge NASCAR drivers autographed helmet below, and an awesome "VCA Members Only" Comp Coupe piece in our Members Only Forum.
The rules are simple: This particular auction can be bid upon by any registered forum member, subject to verification by our moderator staff for newer registrants. The auctions end THIS Sunday, January 31st at midnight Eastern Standard Time time (11 PM CST, 10 PM MST, and 9 PM PST). The bids are in minimum $10 increments, but you can increase the current bid by any variation thereof as long as it ends in a zero - $20, $50, $100, etc. Upping the previous bid by a penny won't cut it this time. The winning bid amount can be paid by check or any major credit card through PayPal. 100% of the winning bid amount will be donated to Hope For Haiti Now and shipping to the winner is being donated by an anonymous VCA member. Place your bids for this NASCAR autographed helmet on THIS thread right here.
Ready? Here we go!
You are bidding on an autographed helmet featuring original autographs from most of the 2008 Dodge NASCAR team drivers. This includes such greats as Kyle Petty, Kurt Busch, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, Elliott Sadler, Dario Franchitti, Bobby Labonte, Sam Hornish, Jr., and more! It features the Dodge racing team numbers across the visor, Dodge Boys Racing graphics on the sides, Dodge Ram logo by the chin, and those famous twin racing stripes across the length of the helmet. This custom full-size replica Simpson helmet was originally given to one of our favorite Dodge executives, Ralph Gilles. It includes a cloth bag inside the original Simpson helmet box.
So here is your chance to own an awesome Dodge/NASCAR collectible that could easily be the centerpiece of any collection. We will start the bidding for this incredible piece at just $100.00.
Oh, and one last note: We would ask that we keep all general commentary to a minimum and focus on the bids or the item itself. We already have political commentary elsewhere on the site, so we will remove any that is posted here. Now start that bidding and don't forget the starting bid is only $100!
