Do the seats have to come out for install of autoform rollbar, and/or six point harness? I have parts coming and want to get a jump on the project. Tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Yes they do. You will also have to cut holes in the rear bulk head to install the 6 pts. There are detailed instructions on how to install the belts in the "how to" section of this board. :)

Question. Does the Roll bar affect how far the seats go back? Does hang over your head or behind it? Also does it come padded or raw steel? I am thinking about buying one when i up the power..thanks Wayne

Boxer12....did you call Mark? I was at his house Sunday, picking up my roll bar, and I managed a peek at his install. Nice and tight....and clean! My seats come out in a few days and I start the install. Seats will go off to a "shop" and come back different. :) What have you got planned?

Tony, I talked to Mark and hope to see him in Indy this week. I am waiting on my rollbar still, and have been waiting a month already for Team Tech harness ([******]?). I am also getting a precut bulkhead panel, which I might have covered in orange shag carpet (jk). Given the cost of a new OEM panel ($1,500), I think its a good thing to sell or hold on to in case I want to return to stock interior someday. I hope I can live with the 'downgrade'. I think I might cancel the Team Tech harness order and put in some Sabelts. Good luck with your install. Be sure and post some pics! Jim

Sounds good Jim! I have the Autoform replacement panels....but since my stock panels are already cut for the TeamTechs (installed about a million years ago...seems like) I figure I might just go for the green. The Autoform panel is OK, and would be fine...but I want to save as much functionality of the stock setup as possible. Time will tell. Once again, I am stuck with a bunch of Viper parts sitting in the dining room and NOT in the car. :( LOL!

I finally got my packages. The Autoform panel isn't as nice as OEM panel, for sure, so I will sell it. I also finally got a TeamTech harness, which is ok, but the quality isn't all that impressive. They missed the stiching on shoulder pad right by the neck, for instance, so I will have to put some add'l pads on there to keep it from sawing into my neck. :( Maybe I should just return them, but I will wait for a new set so I am functional in the meantime. Still will need xtra pads to keep my neck comfy. Will be installing the rollbar later next week. ;)

The illustrated upgrades says to clip the anti-sub 6 pt belts to the eye bolts used for the lap belt, which works ok and saves me from drilling holes in the tub. Wrapping them over the seat bolster does create some 'wiggle' room that I am not real happy with. Will see how it works on the track Apr. 7th. :)

Well....mine is in! I am VERY good with a grinder now...and cleaning up all the f-ing dust! :) I managed to get the bar and stock belts installed and tight. Seats are gone....soon to return. I have not installed the rear bulkhead pieces as I am trying to decide which one to use. I really want my stock one....so I'll probably cut it. I also installed the nifty GTS Hatch release kit that SnakeOyl sold many moons ago. All I have left to do is mount the button (once I decide which bulkhead piece I am using) and finish the wiring. Put the seats in and THEN I think I am done for this year (AS IF!!!!). LOL!

Tony, Yours look good. I flipped over the cinching metal piece, and then ran the loose end back in and into the hole for a bit cleaner appearance (but it will require bulkhead removal to adjust the belt length.) I am also going to cut a piece of black rubber tubing and put it on the lip of the holes to give it a finished appearance. However, I am hung up waiting for the second harness. :( I finally got a call from Team Tech today, directly, asking me what I needed. I hope to get them this week. Track day on Friday next week.

Here is the finished project! What a hassle!! Cutting the rear console was a pain in the a**!!! After all that, I am glad that I took the time and risk to use the OEM console. It just looks way better than the Autoform one. I would be singing a different tune if I messed it up and had to pay $1,500 for a new one!!

Tony, do you have any pics of the Autoform panel for comparison to stock? I have mine on order for install at Bobby Archer's next week. Would like to get a look before then to decide whether or not to cut my stock panel. Thanks. BTW, yours looks great...good job!

Devildog.....I'll snap some pics of it....it is actually two pieces. Imaging the center bulkhead piece made in fiberglass and NO pockets. Not sure about others but the one I got (and please remember I bought all my stuff second-hand) has absolutely nothing in the middle. It looks like there is a place to cut out and add something. Bottom line is, the time I spent modifying the stock piece was worth it 10 times over. Now....ask me about that if I ever want to go back to stock and have to find a stocker in one piece!!! LOL!!!

Thanks Tony. Archer told me the panel from Autoform now has a glovebox option(additional $100) which is what I'm getting. If I use it I'll post pics of the install. BTW, what is the view like out your rearview mirror?
