Bagging rear view mirrors when washing car

Does anyone else do this? If I dont they leak water for hours and leave a white trail on my door and a a huge water spot on the top of my side sill. I just wrap a couple of plastic supermarket bags over them and no more after wash ******, and just hit the mirrors with a wet chamois afterwards...Al

I just blow them out with a leaf blower after I wash the car. No more drips.

turn the mirrors so the mirror is facing the ground and then blow out with a leaf blower.. 230+ mph works best

I tie a microfiber towel around the bottom of the side mirror after I dry that area... works like a charm too.

I have done the leaf blower trick as well as the Micro fiber bib. Either one does the trick!

I just clear siliconed the space between the mirror housing and the glass...no water gets in now!!

I took the mirrors off... less weight, better air flow and who cares what's behind me!

I use a "cycle dryer" bought it from local bike shop. Works like a charm around the mirrors, wheels, rear section of car

Just turn the mirrors (ie..housing) down during/after washing....they will be dry by the time you dry the car.
