Here's a few pictures of the kit. As you can see I'm installing the full Belanger exhaust kit in my 2008 SRT-10 this weekend, but am unable to get the stock passenger side manifold out. I've got the engine jacked up and was able to get the driver's side out with minimal issue, but the passenger side just won't come out!

For those of you who've done this before, it's catching either the cat heatshield against the engine block or the lower exhaust opening against the frame. Any tips or tricks here? The engine doesn't seem like it will jack any higher...I just need a few more millimeters and I think it would come out! :)

More install pics to come...

Thanks!

Good luck with your install!

What are you doing with your old exhaust? I have been DESPERATELY looking for the exhaust tips that you have for my GenIII. If you would like to sell them, PM me and I'll get you some money back from your Belanger purchase!

Make sure both engine mount nuts are loose. The frame has two large slots for engine mount studs to travel in. You want to push the drivers side part of the engine down so you can pull the passenger side up higher.

Hope this helps

Cant you call Belanger?

It's Sunday, so I didn't figure that was an option...probably will this week if I can't get it out.

I have both of the motor mount nuts completely off the car. I am going to try the jack directly on the passenger side motor mount this week to see if that does the trick. Wish me luck!

When I did mine, I was able to rock the motor enough towards the drivers side to get the clearance I needed. I had the mounts out at the time so perhaps that made it easier, swapped those for woodhouse ones.

Did you take the cross bar out from in front of the engine? This will give you a little extra room. I would place the jack under the center of the engine this way you can rock the engine side to side as needed.

Thanks for the tips...I am going to have another go at it tonight when I get home. Sometimes you just have to walk away from these projects to think things through...

I have done several cars and the best way is to remove the upper plenum and cross brace along with both motor mount nuts, hence that will give you all the clearance you will need when you raise the motor with out hitting anything. Then slide out the old and in with the new. Marc

I'm getting everything buttoned up today with the Belanger exhaust installation. I've been very busy over the past few weeks, so I have just been working on it here-and-there when I have had some spare time.

I haven't had a chance to do any real driving just yet, but that initial "pop" and subsequent rumble when the car is first fired up is...well...AMAZING!!! It sounds like a 600 HP car should sound! It is pretty loud when cold, but once it warms up it isn't as loud as I thought it might be. I'm curious to hear this drone issue that everyone talks about. I'm not too picky when it comes to that, so I can't imagine it being an issue for me. I'll post a comment or two about that once I get some driving time in.

Thanks to Lou Belanger and JonB for supplying a great kit. Excellent parts and service will make me a repeat customer for sure!

I will post some more impressions once I have had a chance to put some miles on the car...
