Best tires for street and autocross

What are the best tires for street and autocross?

THE best but not cheap= Michelin Super Sports for street and Hoosier A6 for autocross. The others are well just that, others.

Doug, Could you clarify if you are looking for one "compromise" tire that is good for both situations or two separate sets of tires for each specific app?

Also what year is your Viper,
what suspension are you running,
and do you have any planned upgrades?

I thought the same thing. I thought he was asking for dual duty tire.

My Viper is a 2005 and it's a stock suspension. I don't have any plans for upgrades. I'm looking for something that's good for both situations. Thanks. Sorry. We haven't been checking the thread. I'm wanting to buy something for the VOI.

The Pirellie Corsa tires are great for Auto-x and the street, but expensive! Have them on my ACR and love them.
