build info by VIN??

While researching old threads here, it seems there is some way to get the original build information based on the VIN. Is this something only a select few can do, or is it something generally available?

I found reference to a URL (http://www.viperclub.org/IVR/vin.html) that doesn't seem to work anymore.

There is also mention of a "Viper Buyers Guide", but I couldn't find anything about where to find/get one.

You can send your request to [email protected] ...send them the VIN and they will email you the build sheet.

Apparently it is not that easy. I tried sending an email and I received an automated reply that my email was not properly formatted. I suspect that fastandloud may have received build info from that email address, but you can only reply if you have the tracking number in the Subject line. Otherwise, it gets rejected by their systems. For new requests, the email directs you to use one of the following websites:

How far back does this go? Can they confirm ACR build status on the Gen 2's?
