CANT get any lockable gas caps to work!

i tried all the ones at autozone and kragen and none of them work!

the ones at kragen do not allow the polished cap to close!

the one at autozone allows the polished cap to close but tightens too much and eventhough the lockable cap is supposed to spin freely it is too tight on the threads and someone can still take it off...

sorry i am just frustrated...

Funny... I seem to have no problem with the one I picked up from kragen.

what model number do you have?

that one linked is the same one i got from kragen and i cant get the damn thing to close!

I had to grind down the bolt on the inside of the cap for a generic pep boys one to work. No the cap won't open and close as easily, but its not a big deal.

NAPA Part Number: 703-2103 Cost me $10.49 in 2002; still locks, works perfectly.
