Was looking at the new Bimmer M3 as new family car, but holding off because of the Charger Hellcat.... Hope Dodge makes enough of them so availability won't be an issue.

Bruce, I have my local salesman waiting to call me for one asap when available to order but I saw where only 1000-1200 will be built for 2015 so I dont expect them to give me the family pricing invoice that they usually give me.

I've gotten into arguments lately regarding Hellcats, most notably with that bald guy from TheSmokingTire site. He thinks, as do others, that there's a $20k price difference between the new M3/M4 and Hellcats. That is simply not true. Dealers are telling me that there wont be a lot of availability for the hellcat and most dealers will max theirs out with whatever options are available and probably include $5k on top. The number I've been hearing is around $70k without anything on top. The M4 I was looking at with all the bells and whistles I cared for was a little over $75k. That's a $5k price difference on average and let me tell you, the M4 is worth every penny and will be superior to the Hellcat. I just can't imagine anyone choosing the Hellcat over the M4 for nearly the same price. Just my opinion.

I just got rid of a C63 AMG and am looking for a little more room in the back seat, so thinking the new M3 maybe a tad more roomy and almost bought one, but ended up getting an BMW i3 for car pool lane access. But still need a bigger family car, so naturally the Hellcat Charger would be one of the possible choices. The difference of $5K or $10K either way is not an issue, I just need to drive both befor deciding, however getting a test drive in a Hellcat could be difficult to come by.

If they do a 300 with this option I'm in!
I like my 300 SRT now, but it could use another 100 (or 230) HP!
