I just finished installing these.
I should have pics in about 1 week.
And wow!! what a difference to the engine bay.
Huge upgrade in the looks dept.
They only cost $100 to VCA members from Jason. Listed in the classifieds.
But the install was sort of like the pedal covers a pain in the bass!!
first tip.. no front band clamp is needed.
these pipes (tubes) are cut perfect. so no easy slap on like rubber, silicone tubes.
It took me 1-1/2 hr to install. I am not very mechanically inclined.
It required that I remove the whole air box. Might have gotten away with just rear portion but did not want to deal with the little clips not fastening.

So I removed the whole thing. installed the reducers and pipes.
Pinched my fingers a bit, making the reducer meet the throttle bodies. Got the holes to line up for the air box and done.
they look so good words just don't describe.
cant wait to post the pics.
the only downside I can see is doing maintence on the k&ns (I will let the tech do it)
other than that .... SWEET!!

I think they are 3 inch (didn't measure)I have stock air box and throttle bodies.
I needed to use the reducers that come with so they fit perfect to the air box and bodies.
if you going with the roe SC I think he includes all the new hoses needed...

They just look awesome and the heat should not be a huge issue.
it is not like the cone set up where the hot air goes right in to the intakes.
It is just like stock but looks better... I think. I don't see heat being a huge issue. Guys that run Nitrous use them with out problems.

vipergts,
i have yet to drive it with the new but after a long drive will open up the hood and check them.

Ray, the reducers are rubber and meet the airbox and throttle bodies.
so it handles any flexing.

Rare1,
Thanks I don't know why i didnt think of them sooner.
This is one of my best looking mods.
might even be slight HP gain seeing that the hoses are 3 inch.
And after install the engine sounds a little different.
Slightly louder exhaust note.

just got mine in the mail today, they look great. two points to note, mine are two different sizes and the recommended install says no clamps needed on front? both seem wrong to me, anyone?
