I would change when it starts to darkin in color. Should be clear, then gets darker when it has heated over time. So no real time frame just by eye.

15K .........in all likelyhood it needs changing by then . I would get it done , as we often have folks who think their clutch is getting bad, and a change of the clutch fluid gets them back to new.

Do as Bill P. suggests...but make SURE that they use DOT 4 fluid, and NOT DOT 3 as is mistakenly embossed on the clutch reservoir cap.

Our 99, 01, 03, 08, and 10 ALL say the same thing..."DOT 3"...just like on our 95 and 96.

Guess they had a few extra caps to use up before moving on !!! :)

Roffey, either will work (DOT 3 was used up thru 1998 as the factory fill), but DOT 4 has better stats. I use DOT 4 for all Vipers.
