Sills are not OEM. All kind've mods done to that car.
Wheels, wing, roof vent, HP# on the sills(lol).

Not to mention I dont think 101,081 vipers were ever built,
let alone numbered. Where'd the hell did they come up with
that number??? VIN maybe?

It's the last 6 of the VIN, I looked it up and it basically matches the car

I guess i could have read the auction details... i usually dont because they are generic...

Dodge offered special colors every year with the Viper, so while ones like red was always available, this Metallic Graphite was rarely found on the palette. That's why it's so special to have this factory paint in showroom condition. More than just low mileage, you can tell this GTS coupe was babied because you'll be hard pressed to find a single scratch on the paint (the current owner wouldn't even drive it in the rain.) The factory racing stripes always look good on these as a nod to the Carroll Shelby tradition. Of course the huge racing wing on the rear was added on later, but it's truly a welcomed traction aid. That's not the only custom piece on this coupe. Those three-piece riveted chrome custom wheels look tough as nails and add plenty of shine.

Inside, it's all about the right equipment for a pure speed machine. The black leather bucket seats keep you planted behind the wheel, and there's no room for sliding around in an interior that completely envelops the driver. Your arm fits so that your favorite resting spot is right on top of the gear leaver. A full gauge package is at eye level, and the black-on-white background readouts couldn't be simpler. There is room for a bit of luxury such as an AM/FM/CD stereo, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, dual air bags, and ice-cold air conditioning.

Tilt the large hood forward, and there's no mistaking the Viper's gorgeous red cast aluminum intake manifold and valve covers on this low mileage example. Even with just 27,662 miles on the odometer, there has still been a lot invested in the maintenance, including all hoses, belts, pulleys, and tensioners replaced within the last 200 miles according to the owner. This original 8.0-liter V10 is what legends are made of when churning out a whopping 450 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. You get complete control of this via six-speed overdrive manual transmission, power steering, and a fully independent suspension. This final run of the first generation GTS coupes are often sought after, because while all years came with large four-wheel disc brakes, this one also has ABS assisting you when needed. Plus, traction is well in hand with super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport tires wrapping expensive HRE custom wheels. While all of this keeps the Viper nicely planted on everything from the backroads to the racetrack, you are pure intimidation just standing still thanks to Corsa sports exhaust.

Don't quote me, but I think I read somewhere it meant...... instead of a 19 gal gas tank, it's a 24 gal

You will see this on a lot of Dodge build sheets, my Long Horn has the same item on it's build sheet

I honestly thought a search would yield nothing, but there are a bunch of results, all Mopar and they either say larger tank, or the factory put 5 gals of gas in it. So, still, no clear answer lmao.

No, the sheer level of sales put into that ad is a thing to
behold. If you read it carefully there's not a whole lot of
info for the amount of words put into it.

I bet the 5-gallons is factory fill and its on the build
sheet because of fuel taxes across state lines. Any
time I take my truck across state lines I need to record
the mileage, even if its across town - we're talking .15$
discrepencies that have to be reported.

Ive never noticed that before, but I would really like to
know the answer...
