started friday afternoon and fit it in during the weekend between family things.
all and all very easy to do, (highly reccomend you doing it yourself) use saved
funds for another mod. i want to thank the person who posted in the HOW TO SECTION
ILLUATRATED UPGRADES showing the install for a corsa exhaust on a GEN II RT/10.

THE BORLA AND CORSA AS FAR AS INSTALL ARE ALMOST THE SAME :2tu:

A FEW NOTES -

LOVE THE SOUND - AS FAR AS THE DRONE PROBLEM (BS), NOT WITH THE RT/10

THE LOOKS - IMHO TIPS LOOK BETTER THEN ALL I'VE SEEN OFFERED :2tu:

THE SOUND IS LOUD BUT NOT OVER BEARING. I THINK THE ONES WHO COMPLAIN THAT ITS
TO LOUD ARE THE FORMER VETTE OWNERS :D LOL-I HAD TO SAY THAT :D

HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE THINKING ABOUT THE BORLA FACTORY EXHAUST AND IF I CAN HELP
ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS LMK.

Looks great. I just see one thing wrong, that rather large **** in front of the Borla exhaust has to go! :)

That's the old Borla system and yes it does sound good. Where did you get it? I had that on my first Viper and really liked it. I now have the new Borla and don't like it nearly as much, sounds raspy. The new Borla tips are not nearly as nice either. :usa:

Looks nice, Did you feel your car was "breathing" better? Perhaps more HummPff? :D

yes i can feel the difference :headbang: i also just installed the smooth tubes
with the S&B filters. with both being done you can definitly feel the added HP :2tu: you can tell there is less restriction :2tu:

Great pics. For a deeper tone, I cut out the inner chamber of the Borla tips with a Dremel. P.S. The bottom of your car is cleaner than the top of mine!

Just ran across your post in researching exhaust systems. Nice car and excellent pics of the installed system. I own a 97 GTS. I've been reading on drone problems, pros/cons etc. Corsa vs Borla. The system you installed is the Mopar-Borla P5007274 correct? Should I have any concerns on my 97 GTS that you know of? Found it for $1144.98 at Mopar Supercenter.com Any tips? Thanks, Snkbyte

I got the same exhaust on my RT, its a great exhaust system, love the rumble when in low gears.

The sneaky pete logo is hardly noticable unless your crouched down and looking for it.

Drone is only a "problem" in the confines of a GTS.

Us guys that can go ******* don't have that "problem"

Nice work! I notice a seam down the center of your cat and I don't recall there being one on mine (have to look in the junk pile in the garage to be sure). Have you had some, um, internal work done there?

I know you are sticking with "factory" and not suggesting otherwise. You also have the most impressive drag strip numbers I've seen for a factory spec car. The exhaust looks great!

What's the difference between this factory (mopar) borla exhaust and an ordinary borla exhaust?

Thanks,
Alex

Hoy come you didn't go with hi-flow cats?
You ever looked through one of those factory cats?

I second this, definitely not recommended for the GTS unless you like to have your brain vibrate from the sound waves at anything but 1500 to 1950 RPM.

And yes, I am a former Vette guy. Doesn't make me a bad person though.
