Gentlemen,

They agreed to pay for the towing today it was $678 and some change, this is progress. We are hoping to get a number from them on Thursday. The first estimate is $112K to take it back to stock.

This really ***** belonging to this club!!!! Due we have to pay dues?

I think your dues have already been paid, many times over. Please be safe out there.

My best to all,
Matt

I heard today that my car was totalled (I could have told them that last week) and I heard that the other driver didn't have enough insurance, so I now have to deal with my insurance(who have already told me my car was totalled). I should know the amount in the next day or two.

My new car should be arriving next week. &*#$ waiting for insurance settlements.

This is one club I would like to get out of. It's true though, once your in the club - you have a greater respect for the car and the track.

It took a month for my insurance company to finally settle with me. But when they did it was a fair price. They told me I had 2 or 3 weeks to get a new insurance company and that they would not be insuring Vipers any more. That isn't true though. I know of a few other Viper owners that are still customers of the company. Not nice to lie to your customers!

I am working with State Farm, even at the trememdous cost of parts, they are pretty sure my car is a fixer versus total because the damage on the rear appears limited to 1/4 panel, deck lid, bumper and trunk floor...Of course there will be other smaller items, bracketry, etc...

State Farm Service First repair shops can pull up a "low blue" like value of the car (from Ins co, no idea how they come up with this number) and they will pay ~ 75 to 80% of that value in repairs...Anything over 80% they will total it out.

Also, Insurance company won't allow the repair shops to use "used" parts...Seems like for Vipers they should modify their policy, they could save a bundle...

Well... they probably had so much trouble with used parts being "borrowed used parts" that they had to change their policy.

Isnt that the truth...

What was cool about the appraiser who showed up, was the fact that he drove a ZR1..

I am awaiting values as well.. before deciding on what exactly I want...

Afy,

Sapphire/Silver combo is very cool!

Haven't you been poking around for a BGM Vette?

I like both of them, but they are very different cars!

Regards,
