DC better wake up...and soon. The Viper is getting no respect.

Another magazine with some confusing numbers. C&D runs a 12.5 @ 117mph with a new coupe. Each road test I read the coupe is getting slower and slower.In the past year the major mags(MT, C&D, R&T, Automobile ) have conducted several
so called "exotic supercar" comparisons and the Viper was only included in one.\
What a difference a few years make.Between 92-2003 or so only the 911tt could make a run at the Viper. Now there are at least a dozen cars(within reasonable prices) that have better numbers than the Viper. I understand my '05 is rare and the Viper is a limited production car, bet I want TheViper to be back at the top.The coupe WOULD have been the perfect car to include a power upgrade DC
is falling behind and they better move fast.

Yeah, it's weird the convertible is getting much better numbers. I wonder what gives.

respect? the viper has plenty. btw there is many posts like this one. alot. everyone is disapponted about no hp bump, and i knowthe srt isnt very happy either. also big reason with no hp bump is because they didnt get the money that they asked for. they asked for 30mil guess how much they got 5MIL. thats 1/6 of what they asked for. trust me dc aint that happy about being in 2nd place (in speed). there working on it. were just gonna have to wait and see.

with the numbers, if you read the magiazine C/D says the numbers were in bad temperature (over 100 degrees). the coupe is just as fast as the convertable if not faster.

I'm as mad as anyone can be here about DC's stance on the Viper... my previous posts speak for themselves. At this point, there's no point ******** and whining. **** it up and give DC a year to respond.

We need to go back to discussing fun things about the Viper and mods and questions. Why waste your time on something you have no control over? DC knows VERY WELL how we feel about them now. If they won't step up in good time, we will all leave eventually.

Warfang I agree completely lets get off Z06 nonsense.
I still like my Viper better and wouldn't change
to a Z06 for lot of reasons. What if Volkswagon came out with a fast car, would we run out to buy, I don't THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have the best car for many other reasons. So lets get back to better things to talk about.

I predict, and with absolutely no insider information, that our team at Viper, at this very moment, is working hard to design and produce an enhanced Viper to once again achieve world ********** (or at least North American) in the under $200,000 sports car market.

Will DC recognize their efforts and allow them to produce and market the car...that indeed is the real question.
