Hi!
My name is Marcel and i am from holland.
apologies for my bad english sometimes.
We are building a gen 2 viper engine for a tractorpulling purpose. It wil run on methanol as a fuel, and wil be atmospheric.
We have a question about the difference between the gen2 and gen3 camshafts, because my parts
supplier can only deliver a gen3 camshaft and timing set.
The question is if the gen3 camshaft fits into the gen2 block and if we can use the timing chain(
adjustable) set of the gen 3. I have read somewhere the only difference there is, is de lobe timing, and thet gear pin. in our case timing does not matter because we wil order the cam with our own Specifications.
As the camshaft comes whit installation card the timing with a dialindicator is not any problem.
I hope you can help me forwart!
I already dit a search, but dit not find an answer.
With kind regards,
Marcel
