Does 1-2 gen lowering caps fit 3rd gen vipers?

I have a set of lowering caps I dont use anymore since I installed coilovers. A local friend with a 3rd gen viper would like to lower his ride with lowering caps.
I would like to give him the caps, but we're not sure if 2nd gen suspension is the same as the 3rd gen... would the caps fit both gens ?

Answer is MAYBE

it depends on who made the caps, the spring ID is the same between Gen 2 and 3/4 but the OD of the spring cap that fits into the lowering cap top is a different OD form Gen 2 to 3/4, so best thing to do is measure the ID of the top of cap and PM it to me and I will let you know if it will fit the G 3/4 cap
