Door holder bracket problem

Ok, I read about this somewhere before, but I don't even know the key words to search on to find out the story on this. Any ideas on searches?

A little right angled piece of metal fell off the front of the door on my 01 GTS. It's the part that holds the door open. Can I fix this myself? Can any dealer do it, or is it a big job?

You have to order the complete hinge. Around $150 from Tator's.

how did that piece felt off?? they are all bolt in, so it's broke into 2 pieces or what??

All I can describe is what fell off the car. It's a piece of black steel that is about 2" long and is bent in a right angle.

The door opens and closes fine, but it does not stay open. It swings freely which is a pain when gettting out of the car to have the door come swinging back at you.
