Are you talking about the little chip near the door handle pull on the right side of the plastic? one of my doors is cracked there too.

I just recently replaced both of my door panels (2006) with what I hear are better/upgraded/reinforced 2010 panels...??... Took a look and both of mine from 2006 had that same chip and the passenger side has even a crack in that same spot fwiw....

My 06 had the same chip. I was second owner so I have no idea how it got there. Both of my 08's do not have ...yet.

That is odd. Something that happens during a door panel remove and replace maybe? Checked my '05, no chip either side.

After talking with someone who should know-- the chip-out starts as a small horizontal hairline stress crack. Almost all of these panels will develop the stress crack over time and usage (driving, shutting the door). Eventually the corner piece of plastic just pops free completely and you are left with a void/chip. Exactly why there is so much stress at that point needs a further look.
