DLM Level 1 (slightly modified) on pump gas pulled 697.8 rwhp and 695.5 rwtq today on the dyno! This was also the 4th run so the motor (though we let it cool a bit) was definitely warm.

I'll post the dyno graph later tonight. Suffice to say that it was suppose to be a simple tune-up with an intercooler added on!

Doug, you are one sick puppy.

If this is a modified level 1, I can't imagine a Level III!

I used to think that too much power was never enough... I might have to rethink that.

Joseph

The big deal is the Intercooler. Once that was in, Doug was able to unlock the full potential of the set-up.

I still can't believe that this is a level I!

Here is the dyno graph:

That is an AWESOME curve! Must get me one of those. At approximately $18,000.00, that is money well spent.

Does that include the intercooler?? Either way.. to make 700hp and 700 torque ..WOW now only if it came with cup holders!

Not sure. That was what I got from Doug's website, but the intercooler is a new addition so there's probably a bit more on top of that.

Man, those numbers have got me all hyped up and I don't even have a system on order!!!

Now I just have to think up of some way to justify and present this to ruler of my little nation. I'm glad Joseph included this graph of curves, I can use it in my Power Point presentation.

Hello Clint -
Our Level I does not have race fuel injection or a fuel cell (none ever did). Only a handful of the cars I've constructed do have a fuel cell. Initially the cells were installed for other purposes, not just injecting race gas. The Vipers existing factory cell (or gas tank) is not very desirable for our intended goal. If It weren't so labor intensive and DOT problematic, I'd replace the factory tank with a custom built cell. Feeding more than 450 horses gives me the unequivocal desire to construct a contained fuel tank that would supply enough fuel especially for the need of more efficient fuel delivery.

Great numbers Joseph.
I wish all of you safe and happy motoring!

Regards,
Doug

Could you please List your mods? head work? cam? water injection?

Hi Mash -

No head work (heads have never been off the engine), Stock cam, Stock headers, No water injection.

Joseph has our Level I Premium Package. Additional Mods consist of: T&D roller rockers, hi-flow cats, intercooler, upgraded DLM computer/fuel program.

It takes more than just hanging a blower on a car to make this much power. A lot of time, expense, and mechanical engineering goes into constructing each and every one of these cars and I'm honored to have our customers allowing us the privilege of doing so.

Thanks!

im in CA, and the best we get is 91 octane.. would an alcohol injection system be needed for those numbers?? would the car still pass the CA smog test?

amazing #s for around 20k... and no nitrous involved!

The car is truly amazing.

It is hard to imagine doing a system that is more mild. Next viper, I am skipping right to this combo.

Doug, thanks again!

Gerald - I have no idea how you manage all the power you have on tap.

That being said, I wonder how much _more_ power will be made if some head work were done...

I want to be careful about making comments that may not apply to the State you reside in - It's not in my interest to advertise a Supercharger Package that could possibly not be approved in your State. Definitely a "gray" area.

But without boosting, our system itself (regarding sniff tests) should not change emission levels. The factory computer is "transparent" to our computer under normal driving conditions. The only exception would be a big cam, removal of cats etc.... These modifications would not be necessary to making good horsepower levels and I don't advocate removing the catalysts.

Thanks for your questions!
Doug

Great numbers Joseph, I'm jealous.
We don't have emissions here anymore in So. Flo. but all is good!
I see the horsepower numbers getting crazy.

Enjoy,
Tom
