No, but I've gotten it before.. something about beta testing and getting a check later? Or there is another one where Microsoft is merging with company X and are doing some cash giveaway. All a complete hoax!

No it wasn't you Eric, it was a different Eric Lee, the one in Idaho. I got one too.
Its a variant of a common internet hoax/scam. Do a google search on it, you'll likely come up with the similar ones, such as http://www.scambusters.org/urban-legends/microsoft-aol-email.html

My sister fell for this one twice. Anybody that would believe these are ??$$##'s. It must still be circulating, since it's been around for awhile. My computer guy (a young guy still in college) said that alot of college kids do this as projects in classes they are taking to get graded on.
