Hello Guys,

I just received my gauge pod from Scott at Elite. Great service by the way. :) I have seen posts that there is currently no direct fit gauge pod for the viper. :( So I was prepared to accept that the fit would not be perfect. I proceeded to do a test fit and noticed as posted that there was a pretty significant gap between the A-pillar and the top of the pod. I put my thinking cap on for a moment and came up with the idea of heating it up with a hair dryer so that the plastic would become pliable and hopefully shape the pod to fit the A-pillar. So after a few heating cycles and molding I was able to mold the top of the gauge pod to almost exactly match the shape of the A-pillar. Basically no more gap at the top. I was supprised how easy this was. So those of you looking at this pod, don't give up. A little work and the piece fits really well. Hope this helps

Note in this picture: The pod is not secured in the car yet so nothing is holding it in place. Ultimately the fit will be snug to the pillar in the final install.

No Ricer here! ;) These are not going to be just for looks. The plan is to place a Boost and A/F gauge to monitor the performance of my Roe S/C and goodies scheduled for install in September.

As for the steering wheel interference, there is about an 1 1/2 of clearence between my hand and the pod with the tilt wheel set high. If you lower the wheel a little, even more clearence. I personally don't have an issue with it.
