Well saturday I finally got my viper from Palmer dodge, I was really nervous because this was the first car I ever purchased over the internet, never saw it in person, never test drove it, nothing. Just payed and prayed.

Saturday night EnclosedAutoTransport delivered my viper, and I must say, working with Palmer dodge was an amazing experience. I have never been this satisfied purchasing a car in my whole life. The car arrived with NO SUPRISES, ZERO problems, my sales guy (Jarad) was an extremely honest person, which is the reason why i decided to do business with him. I was origianlly going to purchase a 2004 White viper vert, but Jarad was extremely honest with me and let me know that the viper seemed to had once had body work done to it, and he pointed out every flaw. I really appreciated his honesty so much that I knew i wanted to do business with him and I ended up buying another viper that he had at his dealer. A 2006 Viper coupe. Its my first viper adn I love it, amazing car.

The only cons:

It stated when they sold it to me that the viper had 11,701 miles on it. When I took delivery of it the viper had a 12,012 miles on it. They also promised a full tank of gas, only got half.

Wheres my owners manual and copy of all the service reciepts?

The other thing, they put GALLONS of tire shine on it. so much that my rear tires were spinning everywhere and slidding around everywhere while driving it home.

As far as EnclosedAutoTransport, as far as delivering the car in one piece they deff did that, but im not sure if I would use them again. They were extremely expensive, but the only reason I really went with them is because they could pick up the next day that I bought it. I was trying to work out prices with the company to see if they would lower the price if I drove a bit north to pick it up, but they kept telling me that that it would be the same price because they had another car in the trailer they were delivering to miami. It was actually a lie, my car was the only one on the trailer. The owner of the company Kevin, could of been a bit nicer, it seems that after I payed he would barely pick up my calls or it would take a long time for him to return them. The driver of the truck was pretty nice and really informative though, he took pictures of the car when he was picking it up and sent them over to me, etc. Most importantly though my car arrived unscatched.

If i ever purchase another car through the internet i would deff go to Jarad first. Thumbs up buddy.

Congratulations. Enjoy your new snake, my Viper was also my first internet car purchase. Much easier than going to a dealer around here.:D

Did you ever get answers to these questions?

Congrats! My Bud wasn't so lucky when he bought his 500 mile '08, but he did get all of his money refunded when he sent it back, so I guess that's something.:dunno:

Congrats but "no surprises"? I think I counted 4 or 5, and more than I have had in buying 5 Vipers--maybe I was lucky. But, have fun with the new toy.

I have ordered a New Owners manual and I have printed out the service records from our shop. As soon as the owners manual gets here I will send them all at once. Glad you enjoy your Viper it was a pleasure doing business with you. Thank you for letting us know about your experience with your transport company. I thought they had a good operation (nice carrier and good equipment) but I guess the rest was lacking, where did you find those guys? In the carrier's defense I believe he was just sub-contracted out. The actual person who picked the car up was uber professional and had a very nice setup (load-track single car carrier where the straps actually went over the rubber of the tires instead of through the rims). I know my guys can get a little over zealous with the tire shine, if you are ever in the area stop by and I will get them to detail your snake sans tire shine.
Thank you,
Jared O'Brien

Those are the miles that were on the car when it left here at Palmer Dodge. That was the product of a lazy finance manager. The car came in with 117XX miles and I took it to a Viper club event (which I told the customer about). The correct miles were put on the data sheet but I guess my finance manager just used the miles in the computer.

It's a VERY smart thing to do. Just not sure I'd want the car they did it in.

You wouldn't want a USED car, that the sales person drove to a Viper club event? I'm sure the car has seen worse days. :lmao:

Having worked at several dealers, most new cars are "dogged" when out of management view. I'm sure the sponsors on this board are the VERY few exceptions to that, and keep these puppies under lock and key.

Some of you people are a little harsh on this dealer. He seems very honest, but soem of you seem to be looking for flaws. There is nothing wrong with a dealer driving a car to a club event.4

If I worked at a Dodge dealer, and had the opportunity, I'd drive every Viper that came in.:D
And short of taking it to the strip I wouldn't worry about the use he gave it. The car was meant to rev and the drivetrain is pretty bulletproof. Just my 0.02:cool:

And that's why I think i'm going to stick to the Woodhouse's and Tators. And not worry about this crap....

When Jared drove it to the VCA event, he followed me there and we were both following someone else (in a non-Viper) since neither of us were sure where we were going. I know the Viper wasn't abused at all when he was behind the wheel :2tu:

Ever since late last year when Palmer reached out to the GA-VCA and said they wanted to start a working-type relationship with us, I can say I haven't heard one complaint about them from GA-VCA members who have used them for parts, service or sales!

All kidding aside, do you really think that any dealer here doesnt drive there cars? I personally wouldnt want to buy a car a professional hasnt driven at some point to make sure things are in order (excluding new of course) I dont dog these cars but you dont have to believe me if you dont want to. Many of you that are loyal to your preferred dealership and that is fine, I respect that, but trying to patronize me for telling the truth about what goes on at dealerships is your own choice I guess. I was forth coming to the customer about driving this car and was even asked what I thought about the new gears and how they handled the power and was able to give my professional opinion. Helped him be comfortable buying the car and talk with him just about every other day and he is more than happy with me and his purchase. For those of you who have gotten to know me its been a pleasure and hope to do more business with you in the future.
Thank you,
Jared O'Brien
