Repost-And if you like this-do a search on here for the crash last week of a Viper on PCH- in CA, allegedly racing another Viper
I will never see why any Viper owner would hate Vette's, and why any Vette owner would not like Vipers............

I bet there's a lot of Viper owners who have owned Vettes and/or still do.
I've had two Vettes and I still think they are awesome cars, I just love the Viper more.

Some Corvettes have great souls....not all. Try a Gen 2 big block or even a late C5 Z.....they are really interesting rides. Not all are, of course. I recently sold an 08 Z06 because even though it was a capable car, I had no emotional attachment to it. The Viper will likely be buried with me.

Reminds me of the old days, you were a Chevy guy/gal, A Ford guy/gal or a Mopar guy/gal....never the twain shall meet.

I grew up with Vettes and have owned eight or so and liked them for what they were. The L88 with a crash box was a great bad-asp car back then and gave you a similar feeling to a Viper when driving it. it was loud, lumpy and had lots of raw power to snap your neck back if you popped the clutch.

I love my Viper and appreciate every day that I get to drive it....but, I do not hate Vettes and wouldn't mind owning a nice Z06.

...The drivers of the Corvettes, Brian Andrew Herbert and Roy Wayne Bowden, were identified Wednesday afternoon after the DA’s office filed an affidavit for warrant of arrest for both Herbert and Bowden.

As of press time Friday neither had been arrested.

The Corvette drivers may face a third-degree felony charge for allegedly drag racing and causing bodily harm with a deadly weapon.
...

The charges filed against Herbert and Bowden could result anywhere from two to 10 year’s probation up to two to 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, Diepraam said.

Bowden was identified as the driver of the right-side Corvette. Herbert was identified as the driver of the left-side Corvette and allegedly had a suspended driver’s license, the complaint states.

Wow..... that seems harsh. Yeah, it was a stupid and dangerous thing to do but DUI seems like a similar enough danger/irresponsibility and I don't think it carries penalties like that. Maybe the court is making an example of these mopes to cut down on doing and filming "hey y'all, watch this" sequences.......
