For those of you who are not aware; DC Performance modifys and maintains the whole line of Dodge products as well as Mercedes, Porshce, Audi, Ford, Chevrolet and other models. The Viper has been our mainstay, but our passion encompasses all performance vehicles.

The new Dodge LX platform, especially the SRT Hemi is another big focus for us. We recently prototyped a new supercharger system with Magnuson supercharger systems and the results were very positive.

For those of you who like late model Hemi’s here is a little video we put together for your enjoyment.

If you have a new Hemi as well as a Viper, please consider us for your performance and maintenance needs.

Do you have the SRT-8 Jeep application figured out yet? Relocating the battery maybe since that is where the air intake on the blower points to?

The Jeep SRT8 is not supported, the LX platfrom will be released first. We do have a Vortech application for the Jeep that works really well with our custom tune. We can do the install or I can get you great pricing on the parts (with technical support). The Jeep SRT 8 is really great to modify as it puts all the power to the ground!

Yummy! I've had the itch to do something to my Superbee, but as it is my daily driver, I'm trying to resist....drivability and reliability are key.

Any more info as to when the Jeep application may be released?

Dan, how does this twin-screw differ from the Kenne Bell? Any idea on pricing yet? I think the polished KB is right around $7K (not installed).

The Magnuson system uses Eaton parts which have are very reliable. The system will also be released as smog legal in all states. The KB system seems better suited for those who are building SC specific engines and will be custom tuning. Price point is in the same range.

I spoke with Magnuson about the Jeep SRT8. They are looking for a vehicle to prototype the system.
For those in Southern California who are interested, call me at the shop.

I thoroughly researched the Vortech supercharging system for the Jeep SRT8. A person at Vortech emailed me that more than 100 kits have been sold and Mark Jorgensen at Woodhouse has installed a number of them as well as DC Performance as noted above. There are quite a few videos at YouTube showing the results of the system. The stock kit bumps the Jeep's numbers up to about 560/510 at the flywheel on a conservative tune with a safe A/F. This produces a zero to 60 time of about 3.7 and a quarter mile time of about 11.8. ( Stock number are 4.6 and about 13.2.)

I am not sure that a twin screw application could be made that is reliable because the Jeep is an all wheel drive application and the low RPM level at which massive torque comes in with a twin screw supercharger could prove a bit too much to handle for the stock tranny without modification. I know that at least one other twin screw company did not make a twin screw supercharger work reliably on the Jeep SRT8. The Vortech kit may end up being to the Jeep SRT8 what the stock Paxton kit has become to the Gen III Viper. Time will tell. So far, it is looking promising.

very cool. I have a hemi Rumblebee and have been waiting for someone to be able to tune the hemi. seams like there was almost no true tuning kits for the hemi. Does this mean you CAN actually tune our HEMI trucks and cars now? what are you using to do this?

Yes we can tune all the 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi engines. We have several tuning resources for this. Diablosport is our primary tuning software.

We have SC systems for the LX platform from Magnuson and Vortec both currently available for power levels in the 550-600hp range. Both are still pending CARB approval.

If tuned properly, both systems have been reliable. We are hoping to see certification soon for at least one system.

Have you got anything that would fix the torque management issue on the 2007 SRT 300's? Dads frusterated with his as sometimes it will launch and spin tires off the line and run perfectly, other times it will bog down and sound like it almost stalls. Dealer says all is OK.

If you need to answer by way of PM (not sure what is allowed), that is fine by me.

Thanks!

Robert

We do have calibrations that remove the torque management. Does your 300C have a CAI installed?
If so and it is not sealed off from engine heat, it could be the cause of the unpredicable performance.
Changes in air intake temps will hurt performance.

No, all stock. Thats the problem. If it was messed with I could see there being issues, but as it is tock with only 3500 miles on it...

Yes, milage is low, but that is part of the reason the milage is low.;) He is so frusterated with it he is not driving it as everytime he comes back from a drive, he is ticked off and his relaxing drive ends up being not so relaxing. ;)

Thanks.

Hey Dan, great video and work. I have 2009 Challey SRT8 and am considering having this done. Did you stay with stock width rear tires? The reason I ask is my tires spin excessively and I only have CAI, Corsa exhaust, and Diablo tune for 93 oct.

No on that vehicle we ended up running a wider and stickier tire, it really helped.
