Fuel Pump for Big Boost Users ?

with my detonation problem several mentioned a bigger fuel pump. what type or who makes these fuels pumps and what are they selling for ? are they a pain to install?

1. Call or email Sean to determine what you need. 2.Most,if not all, of the voltage boosters or fuelpumps that might be used are available from Summit Racing. Their catalog is online. All of our cars are a little different and somewhat fickle. I think with a bit more patience and some additional help from Sean that you will eventually civilize your beast. Good luck!

If you tune it back where you should be for 10 lbs boost you should not need a fuel upgrade. Your not going to solve dentination by dumping fuel. If you do decide to upgrade the fuel system do two Walbro 255's with a y block and 10am to the rails, and 8am back to the tank ( you will need a pressure regulator on the return line also)

Whatever you do don't get a Barry Grant King Sumo. I've went through a lot of headaches and frustration with those.

stock fuel system with msd
I don't see how the a/f is correct. My car with 10psi pulley, 50/50 on the water methonal and stock heads and cam is maxed out with the fuel system (green top injectors. If it had heads and cam there is no way I could get the a/f right. You may have Roe's newer injectors that flow a little more but it's got to be tight. Have you checked the a/f before the cats ?

For the third $#!@ time, your program is wrong. Since I told you that you could call and you didn't and you also didn't respond to e-mail, here is what needs to be done:

you are running _not_ enough water/**** and too much regular fuel. so your octane is down. fix that (increase the overall octane by adding WM to the mix and pulling out fuel) and tune it on the dyno with a wide band and you won't need anything.

To Tony's point: if your fuel pump isn't cutting it, then that is a different story. but having looked at your program you have some other stuff to fix first. i wouldn't go chasing the fuel-pump ghost until you A) install a wide band and B) fix your program like i've said.

If you get to the fuel pump issue: Aeromotive A1000, Walboro (in-tank), or Weldon. Weldon has the best reputation. And plan on spending 1-2x the price of the pump on A/N fittings and line. No, I'm not joking... you need filter(s), line, and those darn fittings which are 8-45 dollars each.

I would start pulling the stock fuel system.
Plumb new fuel lines complete with separate returne line.
To that ad the best you can get, Weldon pump and fuel regulator.
