RaceDeck has some major advantages in my estimation ( not just the fact that they support the board, own Vipers, and give VCA members a discount), since they are the largest company in the Nation with this technology. SnapLock Industries ( SnapCourt and Racedeck ) is constantly making changes and the new 18 inch tile is an example. I would stick with Racedeck over SportCourt too, as this product ( Sportcourt ) appears to be more like the Snapcourt product, and is softer in construction since they are primarily designed for gyms, etc. Guess with the guys I know who have it, I like the idea of replacing one tile if there is an accident or damage, instead of maybe having to do a large area.We actually changed the pattern in our old race trailer when we got tired of it, so I guess the portability and ease of maintenance has slways swayed me.

I can second Bill's comments from my own personal experiences.

For what its worth; I've had the Race Deck 18" floor tiles for a several weeks now, and I am real satisfied with the looks, results and maintenance aspects of the floor. No concerns whatsoever.

It was real easy to install and I enjoyed doing it with my kids, and for me the decision was the correct one.

Furthermore, they were a pleasure to deal with, answered all my countless emails, delivered the products within days after the order was placed.

Additionally, I would add Gladiator Garage products to my satisfied vendor list. They also gave me a VCA members discount.

Joining VCA has saved me hundreds of dollars doing my garage with VCA vendors.
Though I have lost millions by spending too much time on this forum. LOL

Thanks again worthy VCA members.

I did Epoxy, and plan to use commercial vinyl tiles like in second post on the "Car Parking/non-workshop" area of my shop. I love the Epoxy, but it was a ton of work to do right..... unless you have a pro do it, or have a lot of time to spend on it (like me)... you may want to consider somthing else. I easily had 60-80 hours of labor in my epoxy floor.

If you stop in the Ultimate Garage area of the Marketplace there are links to many different types of flooring.

If you do not want to go with a RaceDeck style tile, Three others to consider:

Solid PVC Interlocking Tiles. 1/4" think, and the same stuff as plumbing pipe is made of. I got a sample of this one, stout, stout, stout!

Solid Vinyl Interlocking Tiles . They are nearly a 1/4" thick.

Both are nice for for up north, no adhesive.

Finally, Coin style garage floor matting. Roll it out, and you're done.

I have the mfg. info for the rubber flooring somewhere, when I find it, I'll post it.

Found it: www.kineticsrubberflooring.com Priced not that much more than VCT, this
site sells it for $6.50/square meter

Got the sample of the racedeck in. Although a higher quality material than the costco floor, I'm thinking I'm just not going to like modular flooring. So it's back to the drawing board. I'd like to paint, but I know it'll just come up. Epoxy sounds like the way to go. I'd have a professional do it.
