I recently purchased a 1996 Viper (Black with Grey stripes)and it did not come with any top. From what I read, the 1996 is more of a Gen 1.5 as the suspension is updated but the engine is still form the Gen 1. Does my car use the top from a Gen 1 or a Gen 2? Currently looking for a soft top so I can put it on only while parked.

I don't believe there is a difference in fitment, but I know the top that came with my early gen 1 was a bit of a joke. It really wasn't meant for driving by any means, more for if your car is sitting in the parking lot, and it starts to rain, you have something to put over it.
