I've had my 2003 Viper aligned at a local shop a few months ago. The steering just didn't feel right so I had it aligned at a different shop a couple of weeks ago. The steering still feels wrong.... (The first time the car would pull hard any time it made contact with a crack along the side of the road. The second time the steering feels like there is slack when steering from left to right)

Is there something specific that needs to be done that the local shops may not know about?

Thanks,
Scott

Did they just do the front, or did they do a 4 wheel alignment? You definitely should have a 4 wheel alignment done; but, they would know that if they are competent. It is usually extra cost, though.

Both alignments were all 4 wheels.

The only thing that both did was to leave the Caster (Caster or camber) off slightly to compensate for the slope of the road. (They said they do this on all cars)

run flats are junk If you are still running them after all this time It Is time to change. Post what the specs are now from the sheet you got and we can help fix it.

I don't have the first alignment spects but here are the ones from the second alignment. (This one made the steering feel loose)

Front left:
Camber -0.3
Caster 5.1
Toe 0.06

Front right:
Camber -0.3
Caster 5.5
Toe 0.13

Front total toe 0.20
Steer ahead -0.04

Rear left:
Camber -0.7
Toe 0.13

Rear right:
Camber -0.7
Toe 0.22

Rear total toe 0.35
Thrust angle -0.05

Thanks,
Scott

you must get rid of the run flats....thats why it pulls on every crack or rut on the road. Your discomfort will be resolved
