Guys we have made some progress.

Complete Balenger Exhaust received. We went will Belangers since I was looking to maintain power under the curve instead of maximizing peak power. Also the belangers should maintain low end torque and offset the affects of the big cam.

Belangers installed on passenger side....

Both headers and collectors fitted. Wiring harness in place and partially fitted, cooling system reinstalled.

Harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley installed. Stock computer installed.

Moving along. Next is thermostat and housing, valve covers and ported lower, custom fuel rails, and upper intake install... Exciting stuff!

Some new pics...

Ported lower intake which will require some additional machining for idle air controller and will also be powder coated pearl black. It is a work of art....

Polished Upper intake and thermostat housing. I also had the alternator front cover polished.

Also worth noting is Dan will be fabricating a custom mechanical dual throttle body application for this project. Cant wait to see it...

There was talk about Arrow offering something similar but I guess it never made it to market. They were going to use that manifold found on the Challenger drag car and boy is it ugly. This is a one off build that Dan and I dreamed up.

More progress.

Front of motor complete.

Motons and Cross brace back together. You can see the polished Alternator and polished thermostat housing. Cross brack is steel so I had it chromed prior to build.

I had a 05 and thought about doing the same thing. I ended up getting a 08. Mod's Belanger headers, exhaust, Mopar PCM, running Torco fuel additive 1.60z per gallon to get 95 octane. Car dynoed 630rwhp 613rwtq.

I considered the move to an 08 plus but the finances didn't make sense. also I didn't want to start all over and really wasn't interested in the throttle by wire and cam in cam technology. those are some impressive numbers.

Yea Tom I agree, why go to a gen4 with all the cosmetic and performance mods, motons, rollbar, already on your car. You will have more low end torque and no throttle lag vs a gen4, it will be a beast!

We haven't even gotten to the **** yet guys! LOL

Just an update otherwise for Tom: Rails are done and at Polishing, Machine shop finished manifold lower today for IAC provisions, and it is over at Powder Coating now. I have a couple tricks up my sleeve with regard to the ignition system design... I think you will like ;) starting on that tomorrow.

Ok some more progress. Heads assembled, valve covers installed, coil packs installed and Coil covers installed.... Notice all the pretty stainless ARP hardware - ahhhhhhh.

Mark J. Thanks again for the carbon fiber coil covers. Love them.

Next up Dan is working on completing the custom ignition system, fuels rails are getting polished then anodized and lower intake is getting powder coated Pearl Black.

Hey Tom- Just an FYI if you didn't notice, you missed about 3 pictures in between your last two posts [valvetrain and such]

This thing just looks better by the day. I personally think this color scheme SCREAMS... no wonder I use the same one :smirk:

Love those Carbon Fiber coil covers. Kinda thinking about getting them for my '08. If you wound not mind, could you P.M. me the cost and where you got them from.

This is pure bliss for us Gen3 owners who already have a lot of $$ into our ride. I would love to have this done.
