He seems to be alluding to an accident. It still may be a good deal, but you'd want to have it thoroughly inspected before buying it.

Hello All,

I've been watching a Final Edition GTS on ebay and it appears the seller is really good about noting what is correct and what isn't....so far it might be a good deal:

Regards,
Aaron

NOTE: He wants to collect 6% tax. THEN, you still would need to pay tax when you register.. Thats $2400 or so, even at the current bid. Something to consider...

I dont think he's eluding to anything. Probably the most upfront ad I have ever seen... These dealers know how to spot major wrecks. I doubt they would have taken it in, if it had major damage.. Im sure the bumber was re-sprayed for rock chipps or something. Although, it does look pretty "well driven", and needs some TLC for sure....

The mention of the tape lines makes it sound like its been in an accident to me. Definitely an up front ad though, but are they just being up front so when the buyer finds out its been wrecked, they can pretend like they didnt know and say 'we told you everything we knew'?

If that car actually sold for $39k, and the car has a clean title. Wreck or no wreck. Someone got one heck of a deal!!!!! Thats salvage title dollars there...

The greatest concern to me would be how long the car was driven with low coolant? Being an 02, it should have the 7/70 on the powertrain also, unless it's had two owners already.

I have seen car (with a "well know Viper Tech" !!!)...actually, I topped up the pressure tank which was at about half full...noting that the overflow bottle does leak. Front left lower A-arm bracket attachment to frame seems to have a "rough" weld...making some wonder about work here. The dealer IS STRAIGHT and REALLY trying to be honest about this car. I think that someone capable of a little tender loving care will get a bargain here !!!

I just can't see $39k being a steal. The car has obviously been in an accident yet the "Carfax shows a clean one owner car". That just means there's no documentation of the accident or proper repair. My guess is the 2nd owner wrecked it within the 1st 60 days, had it shoddily repaired, and got rid of it. It seems having peace of mind is worth $10k or so for these cars. I know I paid a little extra for mine to have it.
