Great event for those in PA and NJ

I posted this in the Va/MD forums, but this is a great event for all regions, especially those close by in PA and NJ.


Kirkwood Highway Cruise! For some of you that are old enough, Saturday night cruising was the cool thing to do. (Picture American Graffiti) This is a cruise over several miles of the Kirkwood Highway, This was the popular cruise area back in the 60's and 70's. This cruise has been revived over the past several years and this year over a thousand cars are expected to turn out.

Where: Kirkwood Highway (from Possum Park rd to Prices corner) Looking on Mapquest/Google? Use this address: 4500 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington DE

When: August 11, 4pm 'till ???

How? BRING YOUR VIPER! There will be Hot-Rods, Muscle cars, Classics, everything is welcome.

Stop and park anywhere, Anytime.

You will see many of the restaurants have "welcome cruisers" type signs out. We will be meeting at my store (Steve's Sew-N-Vac) at 4519 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington DE, at about 4:30. Some will be meeting at my house but I am running out of room.

The promoters are looking for 1000 to 1200 cars. Last year there were about 800 cars.

Had a blast, was good seeing everybody. Unfortunately we did hit rain on the way home but the Vette cleaned right up and is back safely in the garage.
