Clutch Pedal Modification Kit
for Dodge Vipers 1996-2002

"This heavy gage aluminum part - Improves the clutch motion ratio, resulting in shorter pedal throw and faster clutch actuation.
The clutch pedal is also lowered by more than 1" so that it matches the height of the brake pedal.
The Viper pedal kit consists of a replacement clutch link that improves the clutch motion ratio,
resulting in shorter pedal throw and faster clutch actuation. The clutch pedal is also lowered
by approximately 1" so that it matches the height of the brake pedal. Includes illustrated
instructions and installs in minutes! No special tools required. Also included are detailed instructions
on how to achieve full throttle and adjust the location of the gas pedal to help make heel and
toe downshifting easier. For 1996-2002 Vipers with adjustable pedal assemblies."

These were my comments when I installed the kit when I owned a GTS:

I'm 6'2" and in search of more leg room in the GTS.

I just installed a Roe Racing "Clutch Modification Kit". It lowered the clutch pedal level with the lowest setting of the brake pedal.

The kit was easy to install although the pin clips holding the bracket to the clutch pedal were very difficult to remove. If the directions had a drawing of the clip and how to release it, that would have helped. I eventually figured out how to release the clips and the rest of the installation was very easy. It took about an hour to install.

If you are looking for more leg room, I highly recommend this modification.

One other person recommended taking the driver seat out which would make it easier to get access to the clutch pedal assembly and clips.

I have Tom's short clutch throw installed on my Gen1; this is a different kit and install, but I love it.

So some searching. Adjustable pedal Vipers can have each pedal adjusted independently to do the same thing. For free. Gen1's are a different story.
