I'm curious to see how it looked and what it cost to do this. Anyone do their valve covers and intake plenum with this too? Besides Jesse james bikes.

Belanger headers, although not done by Jet Hot, come coated and look almost exactly like the work Jet Hot does. I use Jet Hot on my hot rods and always have had good luck with them. They offer several different colors as well. They have a toll-free number you can call for more information which is: (800) 432-3379, and they can give you prices over the phone.

I've had quite a few sets done....I like the plain silver coating. I had the jet hot 2000 coating done on a set and althought it is supposed to be better, it is not smooth and the color is not as nice as the regular. I did the regular silver on a set after the 2000 coating. I have a $25.00 off certificate to jet hot if you want it(good for amounts over $200 only). There is also a place near knoxville called M&R Coating that does a nice job....cheaper. Now that I think about it M&R did the last silver set, not jet hot. If you can't find their number let me know.

I'm having a set of B&B headers coated down at Performance Coatings near Atlanta right now. $230 for their best two layer Insulcoat, which I thought was very reasonable.

I think they charge around $800 to do the intake, and I can't remember how much the valve covers are.

I have the Jethot black 2000 deg. coating on B&B Stainless headers and all of the side sill pipes, including mufflers and cats. It works very well to keep the side sills cool.

I think Jet Hot has a lifetime gaurantee.
At the machine shop where my good friend works, he knows a customer that has had Jet Hots on his drag racer for 5 years and they look like new.
I have LS1 long tubes that were ceramic coated by the manufacturer and the coating has come off in places and is blistering in others in less than 1 year and 10k miles.
I will never get anything but Jet Hot from here on it.
(Besides, I'm about 1 hour from them!)

If you want to polish or chrome the valve covers they either have to be chromed or polished and then cleared. The stock valve covers are magnesium. They can not be polished and stay looking polished for long. Problem is that chrome holds in heat. So chroming your intake manifold may be pretty..but a stupid thing to do.
