It's really sad how some GEN I & II people are always crying out for help, Have you noticed how they're always hanging around here ? It seems they can't get enough of the SRT...Will you help them ? Please
IN YOUR FACE.....

I wish Dodge did more development on the Gen2, i.e. make it lighter like the SRT, better brakes like the SRT, more power like the SRT, more resonable repair costs like the SRT. But thats like putting new wine in old wineskins.

The Gen2 will always be a classic, but time moves on.

My next car will not be a Dodge at all, maybe a Ford GR1. But I will keep my GTS, it was a great time in history-outrageously **** styling, several LeMans wins, etc. Good times.

I must admit, the SRTs have grown on me...A LOT. However, there is just something about a GENII GTS that grabs me even more. I don't know.

You want a winner..Take the front of the SRT add the back of the GTS to it and you got it...I think the new coupe is the winner

I think the nice thing about the Gen IIs is that it's almost impossible to find a bad angle. You don't have to look for a nice angle.

DSR: One problem with the coupe is that it's way too tall for an exotic. It doesn't stand out like an exotic should. I'm sure the car will peform great though, etc etc

I really would like to see DC invest some time in finding a good designer...like Marcello Gandini or Tom Gale.

I did not know there was a pecking order when it came to Viper ownership. I quess I am too new to The Viper club of America, I thought as a Viper owner I was joining a brother hood of people that would share there ownership experience no matter what gen you presently own....

I understand the separation of gens for the forums sake, it is easier to navigate the site that way...but....does that mean, we are suppose to seperate ownership experience as well.

Can't we all just get along????or do I need to sick Alice on your asp.???

my 2c

Did you see the new coupe? Come on.That looks nothing like the Viper. What kind of rear is that. I love the SRT but it's redefined for the times. The Genll will always be a brutal looking car.Kinda says fck you in your face when you look at her.

If blue was blacks older brother, black would want to be just like him when he grows up....

The new coupe, its what the srt/10 wanted to be to the GTS and RT/10, but needed more refinement and style....

hows that? this should get some people sounding off like they had a set...

and there is this one....you can not trust anyone who drives a un-striped Viper...ohh yeah....

I had to chose between an outdated clownshoe and an S2000 wanna be. Since I am so refined I chose the S2000.

BTW is it "refined" or "not redneck"?? :headbang:

Mike, we got another bite, NOMERCY......

If I only had a 5c for every time I heard the clownshoe joke from a vette guy I just ate up on the street, but, from a fellow viper owner??????

Hey, SEMPER FI, doesnt that mean," always faithful"???? I was Army and Navy.

Looks like NOMERCY is from I believe Colorado, think the altitude is clouding his thoughts, besides, what they know about "REDNECKS"???

Hahahaha ....

You guys use "S2000" and we can use "Clown Shoe". As far as smoking Vettes goes ... you just weren't running the right Vettes. ;)

Semper Fi does mean "Always Faithful". But that, for me, is more relative to the Marine Corps than cars. I am a complete **** when it comes to cars. Faithful to Dodge??hahahah Faithful to Vipers eh ... I really don't care. It is really just another car in my garage that I enjoy. The whole Chevy, Dodge, Ford thing is pretty "Red Neck" if you ask me. I buy what I like ... I could have had a GTS if I really wanted one, I guess they just did not motivate me. :D

You were in the Army and Navy ... Sorry to hear that bro. :p What was your MOS?

Yes the altitude here does cloud my thoughts. Just as it castrates normally aspirated cars. I don't have anything against rednecks. There are a few in Colorado ... You do know the Viper does have a reputaion of being the Red Neck Exotic :2tu:

Now that Gen I and Gen II cars can be bought for the same price as a new Vette the Viper Gene pool is getting a bit more diversified. :D

I am sure the Ferrari guys who still drive the 308s still think they are cool too ... :headbang:
