A slight tint will knock the rice right out of em, and when you turn them on, they are still orange...Use Nightshades spray tint, light coats until you get the desired effect...

slaughter, your's look perfect as is...they are just a little "bright" on black...

Thanks, and I think from the pics that I see what you mean on the black ones - I'm glad mine look fine so I don't have to "shade" them. I left in the regular whitish bulbs rather than putting in the amber bulbs, but even the whitish bulbs are a bit tinged in yellowish color, though not as extreme as the amber bulbs, so I think they might still slide...

Moundir...Stripes on the Chihuahuas are black. I was going to go with the silver stripes but people on the board here talked me out of it..

nah, put the clear builbs in them, looks much better, especially on silver

The bulbs are "clear", they were the stock bulbs, I didn't replace them with the amber bulbs, but they still look a bit yellowish, much like your house lightbulbs can look a tinge yellow when on but are clear when off...
