I was tightening the connection for the positive battery connectionion under the hood this evening. I removed the positive cables and then reinstalled them. This tripped the alarm, with a flashing alarm light in the center gauge. When you try to start the car it runs for a second and then dies(the alarm light still flashes. Does anyone know how to reset this?thanks

yes, hold both buttons down on your alarm remote. Hold it down for 15 seconds. That should do the trick. take care..

chex - my car does the run/die thing on occasion and, as you know, it's due to the alarm module. My car will not restart until the positive battery cable is pulled then put back on. Yes, all your radio settings and any adaptive information the PCM has "learned" are gone, but at least the car will run.
