Anyone else have trouble installing the K&N carbon "box" and tube kit on GTS?
It seems like the black plastic tubes are too long and/or too tall. I am trying to force the box down and it is not very happy. I already moved the bolt tab on the alum. crossmember to let it drop in. I don't have the instructions. Could these be from a GEN 1?
Got a great deal, just no info on install......what's the trick?

have it on my car and they are a ***** to get on.... requires some force. I thought it was a 1/2 hour install turned out to be 2 hours plus.

Hostile,

I'm not sure what the part # is. It is a carbon box. two "s" shaped black tubes, red connectors and two cone K/N filters. I know it will fit, maybe. If you can send instructions, I'll try.
Thanks

I had the same problem. I actually cut the top of the box so the hood hinges didn't touch; as well as cut out 2 rectangle pieces on the bottom of the box so it would fit over my fluidine radiator. As for the smooth tubes, I gave up trying to make those work and just purchased a few pieces of silicone tubing.

I also bought the K@N filter kit for a gen -2 The airbox will fit with a liitle bit of mods, trimming the top of the box. With a little work you can fit the box. However, the S-tubes ****,Actually that don't **** as much air. YOU WILL LOSE HP. Throw away the S-tubes and get some silicon and metal tubes made. This is what I did and it work better than the S-tubes, dyno proven!
