I have a 1994 RT/10 that needs to have the head gaskets replaced. The place I normally take it to quoted me $4000. I called the viper wizard and he said that was outrageous, he said I could fly him in to do it himself for way less - lol.

I am in Columbus, Ohio. Does anyone know a good/reasonable place to have it serviced?

Thanks!!

Chuck's not kidding!!!

Go for it!! This is a man who's done zillions from what I understand..

I like it, The wizard as consultant. Wish I lived closer to NY.
....................
I did mine not long ago. It's not a difficult job as they go.... Any mechanic can do it but not with the care/knowledge you'll get with a guy like Chuck Tator. A job done right and with confidence is worth the price. 4k is pretty steep ... for ??? service.

Maybe it's time for roadtrip??!! I bet you can call him, schedule it then drive it home when complete!!!!!

(This an unplanned plug for Chuck. I haven't met him other than talking for few minutes when I did mine...)

BTW,
I did mine in my garage for about $6oo.oo...... Just sayin'

Do it yourself, its not that difficult of a job. Take your time and document everything and you will save some money. The gaskets are crazy expensive though.

I'd say take it to Evans Auto on Morse Rd., unless those are the guys that quoted you $4K.

I'd be happy to help out if you want to do it in the garage here.
PM for info.

May includes going through the heads as well. Don't know. That can add $500-$1000 depending on the work done. Either way, way overpriced.
