I believe that Dodge UNDER-reported the actual HP of the Viper, especially in early Gen-II. {{{{RUMOR IS, they are having to de-tune the Gen-III from 525-535 'natural' to get closer to 500-505HP}}}}
When Hennessey Motorsports received their first 15-20 GTSs for conversion back in 1996, HMS did a baseline dyno before beginning work. I think I remember HP figures working out to 462HP as the LOWEST baseline they tested. One was even 475HP as I recall, as it had been well broken in. 1997 was equally strong...98 ditto

The first Wednesday of the month: Sept 5. You can park behind the velvet ropes, next to Chuck's car.
John Rago had a '97 Blue/White RT/10 with a full Venzano interior... I miss that car.

Yea, I met John at the ******* car show in 98. I liked the fin he had on his car the most. I wish they would put a fin on the rt as standard equip or maybe as a option!
