This weekend there is an SCCA Double National event (2/15/02 - 2/17/02) at Texas World Speedway (TWS) in College Station, TX. The event, known as the “Polar Prix”, is one of the largest SCCA events in the country.
On Saturday and on Sunday, Bobby Archer and his protege Dr. Deborah Loth will be racing their Vipers in the T1 class. This class typically has a half dozen cars or so, but this weekend the T1 field is expected to be well over a dozen cars, including several drivers (such as Corvette pilots Scotty White, Bob Schader, and Kevin Mixon) that competed in the T1 race at the SCCA Run-Off’s last fall. The two T1 races (to be held on Saturday and Sunday) should prove to be very competitive and entertaining to watch. As always, if you can make it to the event, be sure to stop in and say hello to Bobby and Deborah. They might even need a hand in the pits...
