HMS: The good with the bad.

I have seen all of the negative posts about HMS. I have had an unpleasant experience with the tuner so far.(I placed a $2500 order with him a month ago and things are running way behind) But I also believe that this forum is to inform everyone of the truth not just the bad. Tonight I emailed John telling him how aggrivated I was about the situation and wanted to know where he stood. Based on everyone's posts I assumed I would have to wait days for a responce if I even got one at all. To my surprise he emailed me within seconds. He said "I WILL GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF FOR YOU. THANKS FOR YOUR EMAIL BACK AND I WILL UPDATE YOU WITH A SHIPPING STATUS ASAP,

JOHN"

Now talk is cheap and we will see where he is going with this but at least he took the time to respond. I think everyone deserves a second chance. I will let everyone know how things go from here. I just think if he is trying to do the right thing (at least by me) it's worth mentioning. I am so quick to post the negative stuff, thought I would do the right thing and post the positive stuff too. We'll see how it goes.

I had a similar experience yesterday. I emailed a question concerning electrics and manifold vacuum to John Hennessey and received a prompt response with a promise to ship a needed part the following day. Very encouraging. I will update you on any further service performance. (JD)

John H emailed me today. He said that he started on my exhaust and it would be ready next week. I don't want to hurt anyone's business. I don't want to get screwed either. So I'm going to tell it like it is. The only bad thing I had to say about HMS was the lack of customer service. If John comes through on these promises all will be good again. Maybe our criticism has been a helpful tool to him and he has learned from his mistakes or maybe he is giving me lip service to get me off of his back. Only time will tell but no matter the outcome I can tell you one thing.... YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT IT!!!

I have had similar experiences with John. He has been emailing me (as well as calling me with questions I have for him) usually within the same day. He does seem to care about his customer's questions.

Keep up the good communications.

As you might know from other posts, John has been contacting me about issuing my credit for my botched service and parts. Yesterday I emailed him about information he needed from American Express. He quickly emailed me back saying, "ok, i will check it out and get with you later today, thanks and talk to you then." You will never guess what I heard after that, Crickets Chirping. Absolutely no response! You would think that with all that is going on with me and this board, he would now at least follow through with his promises.
