Also don't forget the threaded bump stops on each side of the hood that help adjust the left and right front height, these , in combination with adjusting the placement of the hood patch ensure perfect fit on front end

I had to move these on my 06 with the factory hood to get it lined up. The driver side was about 1/4" lower than the other. A couple if twist on these and it was perfect.

I take it you own or run Vaipair Performance. Where abouts are you in Santa Rosa? My wife and I were out there last April and stayed at Vintners Inn, a fantastic place!!!!!:2tu: We rented a Shelby GT vert for the week and had a blast, I did anyway, driving to all the wineries. We can't wait to come back there again.

Hey Vic,

I live a couple of miles away from Vintners Inn on one of the surrounding hills. If you are ever out here again PM or email me and we'll take a couple of the snakes out for some air:drive:

So how does one adjust the height of the hood at the rear...by the hinge. My hood is low on the drivers side and has actually allowed the hood pad to rub the white lettering off the electrical panel on the driver's side of the engine bay. I adjusted the front...it is better....

My Vipair hood fit fine on my Gen III car. Fit as good as the OE hood that I took off. Hella lighter too.

It is for sale. PM me if you are interested. Viper Red, chipped up from running the twisties though. Located in North Texas area.

What happened to the troll in clown shoes? Nice posts and pics GTS-R. I have been wondering this very thing about the difference in fit between OEM and Vipair.

Your hood spring is likely sprung. I don't think you can fix that. I have passenger side spring NIB for sale if you need one.

If your hood is low at the back (close to the windshield/cowl area) you can do numerous things, add a spacer between the hood and the hing, or add some of those foam or runner spacers that are in along the inner edge of the fenders now in certain spots, or look at your fenders where they attach to the inner structures and see if there is a spacer there sandwiched between the inner fender and the compressed carbon inner fender, just remove the spacer and that will lower the fender versus raising the hood.

I see those spacers...and that makes sense...but it does not help me get the hood up off the electrical box cover....it's obviously rubbing there as the white letters are gone......

nevermind.... it is not the hood pad rubbing those white letters off...not sure why they are partially gone but it's not the hood. I'll be playing with the spacers under the driver side fender to clean up that gap....

Thanks,
Lance

I pulled the spacers on the driver side fender.....brought the fender down a fair amount....it's still a tad higher than the hood in the middle...but I think that's just the way it is. I am interested in the VipAir hood........Frog I sent you a PM....let's see if we can work a deal......
