Horsepower / Per Weight / Anyone Know?

IF every 10 lbs = 3hp, means Viper would be 990HP.

I've seen 100HP/litre as a lofty goal. Viper would be 800HP!
Lotus and very few others make 100HP/litre displacement.

My rule of thumb: Less weight; more HP !

In the Viper Days wheel to wheel race series, a factor of 7.5 pounds per horsepower is used to penalize Vipers that produce excessive horsepower on the chassis dyno.

You can derive this figure by using published weight of 3,375 pounds and dividing by published horsepower of 450.
