Texas Asp that really does ****. I do not know about the paint situation.

For people who do not want to do their own oil change you may want to check out Penzoil oil change place.

Bring your own Mobile One filter and they let you drive it in, open the hood, stand there while they do the work, even go down stairs if you ask.

Then when it is done you close the hood yourself and drive it off. If you want they also, for free, will fill your brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, check tire pressure and vacuum the inside.

Some of this I let them do some I don't trust them to do.

They charge about $50 which is not much more than the oil costs at Walmart and I don't have to find some place to dump 10 quarts of oil.

Too bad but if the dealer has a quality body-shop, they won't have a problem matching the paint. Good luck!

You would think that the $70 an hour labor rate would result in better treatment!!!??? Dang, that is horrible!

I think the best way to avoid "Dealer Problems" is to come to a Viper Meeting and ask other members what kind of experiences they have encountered and make you decision based on that. Most of our club Vipers are handled by Carlos at Northwest Dodge. He seems to be the most experienced Viper tech around and is careful around our snakes. Sorry to hear about your mishap,a few questions I have

is the dealer paint in house or send it our to a general body shop? and if the scratch can be fixed without painting the whole hood I would opt for that in a second. Painting any hood I feel hurts the resale value.

"a man's got ta know his limitations". someday i'll figure mine out.

1999 silversnake; Magnecor wires, K&N filters, Roe smooth tubes, EBC pads, Corsa CatBack exhaust, autoform spoiler, MGW goodies, LeMans gascap (viper wart, LOL), 3:55 rear, Magnecor wires, Xenon HID low beam and fog lights, and a whole buttload of audio mods with 20% window tint to keep the "gawkers" at bay

I thought everyone knew to take their cars to Carlos at Northwest Dodge. Sorry to hear about your experience. Like Prashant said, most Houston club members already know about Northwest.

WOW Jim that is awesome. You mean they give you 10 Qts of Mobile One AND change the oil for $17.

Heck you can't even buy the oil for $17. I will look for a No Bull oil change place.

THANKS.
