What kind of life are you guys getting out of your Optima batteries? I bought one 2 ½ years ago and I am starting to have some charging problems. I leave mine on a tender all the time, but it has been starting slow even though it should be topped off.
Today I fired it up, it started slow but not too bad. Drove maybe 1/2 mile and it seemed ********** like it was missing. Stopped for gas and turned it off to fill up, fired it up again, cranked slow but started.
Headed home and turned it off in the driveway to move a few things in the garage. Hopped in the car and it would barely turn over then it just died and set the alarm.
I charged it with a real charger for about 15 minutes and used the starter feature on the charger to jump it. Pulled it in the garage and hooked up the tender back up. Within a ½ hour the tender had it almost toped off again, which seems way to fast as dead as it was.
I’m starting to think I have a dead cell or a bad tender. Do Optimas die this fast?
