I would say to go with one of the "lesser" model colors. I LOVE blue/white GTS', and the GTS-R white/blue is awe inspiring. Unfortunately for both, there are approximately sixteen gazillion models of each one out there. There are red ones out there as well. Black GTS' are harder to find from 1999/2000, as are silver. Yellow and dark blue are 2001 colors, so there is no telling how many may or may not appear in model form. Nope, if I were going to custom paint a model, I would choose something like steel gray, which was a "one year only" color (2000). It also looks pretty sweet as a model, as evidenced by this steel gray ACR with silver stripes I recently had done:

In this case, we used actual Dodge Viper paint directly from Mopar. The color isn't close - it is dead on. It may take a little more work, but the result is that you have a true Viper color, and one that none of your friends can buy anywhere.
